Title - STUDIO BLUP PLACEMENT - BLOG

I was given two briefs to complete for my first week at BLUP. The first was to document myself over my time at BLUP in a TikTok or Instagram Reels for them to post on their page once I am done. The second was to create a brand analysis and then a rebrand of BLUP:GEN, a sub brand focused around curating a network of infuencial creatives and gaining insights from the people who are the future.

Once I completed both of those briefs, an opporunity came up to work on some client work. The work is for Metallica, and I was creating assets that would be used in some video promotion that would be displayed at The Now Building by Tottenham Court Road station.

I spent the second week working on different assets to be made for the Metallica breif. I really enjoyed it, it has given me a lot of confidence with working at industry pace and quality. Towards the end of the week, two other briefs came up that I assisted on. One for Jack Wills and another for Rimmel.

For Jack Wills, I was working on resizing different assets that had already been made, so they could be displayed on different size screens. For Rimmel, I was working to a brief provided by the client, with their assets to create an animation for the launch of their new product. Both of these were enjoyable and provided me with more confidence of the pace and quality I can work at.

At the end of the 3rd week, I was asked if I would assist on a photoshot for, Rimmel and Max Factor. This was really insightful. It was the first time I had been on set and really helped me gain a perspecive I had never seen before.

My final week started, I was not given any major breifs to work on, but just to make ammends to the work I had done, from the feedback of the client. I also had to prepare for my final presentation to the studio. I had to complie all the work I had done for them while I was there, present and talk about my time there.

Outside of the internship, I was freelanced by BLUP to direct and produce their event video for the Metallica launch event. This was very special to me, I felt trusted and respected as a creative even though I was just an intern, they had seen the other work I had produced and allowed me to create some internal work for them.
